Showing - 'A' & 'AA' Shows

The WAQHA usually run a combination of six A or AA Shows each year:

  • Champagne and Roses
  • Spring Show
  • Quarterama
  • Blue Ribbon Futurity Show
  • Quarterhorse Spectacular
  • State Championships
The Blue Ribbon and Spectacular are "Futurity Shows", held in the Autumn and the State Championships are held in the late Spring.

A or AA Shows are approved by the AQHA and must adhere to the approval guidelines. These shows must be judged by an approved or associate AQHA Judge. At present there are three AQHA approved judges residing in WA, Tania Broad, Karen Niccoletto and Dawn Marshall. B class shows are shows that are not approved by the AQHA and are judged by non approved judges. Results from B class shows must be sent to the points collator (currently Paula Di candilo), with a copy of the show program, within 30 days of the show. If no program is sent, points will not be counted.

Points scale used is as per the AQHA Rule Book, Page 42 (blue section):

B points = single value as per scale
A points = double value as per scale
AA points = 4x value as per scale
