Show Rules

Most show rules are known and followed by all, a few are easily overlooked or possibly confused. Some of these are stated below. The wording is paraphrasing of the rule or response to a query.

AQHA - No Elastic sided boots are allowed in western events.

AmQHA - No synthetic saddles are to be used.

AQHA - The wither tuft should not be removed, even if the mane is hogged. This is only mentioned in relation to showmanship in the AQHA Rulebook

EFA - Dressage and Hack classes have different regulations on the shape/colour of saddle cloths.

EFA - Tack should all be the one colour. IE No brown bridle with black saddle. (This may be a recommendation, not a rule. checking is in progress)
