Every person competing in a Novice
Amateur class must possess a current Novice Amateur card issued by the AQHA or must
fill out a membership application in its entirety and pay for it at the show which

out a replacement form and pay the appropriate fee at the show before entering.
ELIGIBILITY FOR NOVICE AMATEUR
Exhibitors cannot have earned a total of ten (10) or more performance points in

Novice Amateur points can only be
gained at AQHA 'A' approved shows and judged by an AQHA Approved or Associate Judge.
Amateurs must write to the AQHA office requesting a permit. The office will issue
that permit and keep a tally of Novice Amateur points. Once the Amateur "breaks
open", the permit will be revoked and the Amateur will be written to congratulating
